I've commented to Ginger several times over the last few months how nice it's been to have actually "had a summer." We've often compared the current date to how it was a year ago, when we were struggling to get enough sleep and when it was all about just getting through the day. Along with that, we are reminded of the extraordinary service which my good mother CynDee provided to us and our little ones. The babies are doing so well, and we are so grateful.
At our most recent doctor's visit, Ella weighed in at 21 pounds and--like her siblings--is doing very well with all developmental measures. Her hair is getting thicker and longer and is somewhat wavy. We have two items of good news about Ella:
1) She is now an established walker and really enjoys moving around the room.
2) Ella FINALLY has a special toy of her very own. Ginger and I call it her "Lovey Bear". Ella generally walks around the room with Lovey Bear in her mouth and sleeps with it clutched in her arms each night.
Joel now stands up and remains standing unsupported for quite long periods of time. Ginger, Mom, and I have all witnessed him take several steps. He gets the biggest proudest smile on his face and then sinks slowly to the floor and CRAWLS over to receive praise. He also has taken to grabbing onto the cribs while standing and then rocks back and forth as fast as he can; Ginger commented a few days ago that that is "such a BOY thing to do." And it is. He also has turned into an adept climber. He is a sweet and tender-hearted boy, and we love him VERY much.
And then we have Grace. Grace still is the littlest one; where Ella is 21 pounds and Joel is a whopper of a boy at 24 lbs, our Buglet is still only 18 lbs. Hilarious. She is actually turning out to be the LEAST picky eater and can put down berries like you wouldn't believe. Her hair is growing out nicely also. Grace has decided that if wearing ONE single bib is good, wearing 3 - 4 bibs is GREAT. She'll often bring a bib over to us and ask us with a grunt or a squeak to put it on her :o) She also has taken a fancy to certain pieces of clothing and likes to wear a striped jumpsuit. Grace is close to being able to run. She doesn't even think about how to walk any more; she just does it.
We enjoy every day with our babies and are eternally grateful to Heavenly Father for blessing us with these darling children.

Glad to hear the update! :) I love it! It doesn't seem possible for them to be so grown up yet though. Time goes too fast!
