4 Weeks Old

Our lovely babies are now four weeks old. They look so much different already from when they were first born. They've each grown slightly more than 2 inches in length, and all are now solidly over 4 lbs.

The follow-up ultrasounds today did show that now each baby (Joel and his sisters) has at least one grade 1 hemmorhage. Our doctor reassured us that this is still par for the course, and likened these bleeds to bruises. He and the other medical staff have complete confidence that these newly emerged bleeds will self-resolve (as Joel's original one is demonstrably now in the process of doing). Little boy is on the cusp of outgrowing his first outfit and is now receiving 42 CCs of milk per feeding.

This evening, our good friend Stormi (whom we have known now for several years) was able to visit the babies. She held Grace for a while and had a very good conversation with her. Stormi's little boy Kai went on a wheelchair ride with Ginger down to F.B.C. so that he could be shown off to Ginger's nurses there. It was a very nice evening.

Waldröschen Update

Mariano was sent on a mission by the leader of the robber band to castle Rodriganda where he received definitive proof that he is indeed the rightful heir to the estate. A failed attempt on Dr. Sternau's life by Cortejo has the castle in an uproar. The evil Cortejo is now discussing with his compatriots how they can rid themselves of Dr. Sternau and also Mariano, who bears a marked resemblance to the Count of Rodriganda.

Grace has really become quite involved in the story, and is on pins and needles to learn what happens next!
