Babies' Progress - Day 7

Today was a wonderful day. The results of the echocardiogram show that Grace's PDA heart valve / duct is almost completely shut (the medicine did its job!) Although there is a teensy tiny little hole left, the doctors now consider it a non-issue. The scorecard above gives more details about how each of our lovely children did today. The nurses told us to go home and pick out some clothes, because--barring any unforeseen complications--our babies are gonna get dressed for the first time tomorrow. We will definitely take and post pictures of this momentous event!

Final note...although we never actually see them move, the babies seem to like to swim upstream. The nurses will tuck them in tight in their pillows and surroundings, and--if you don't keep them in line--they eventually just kinda drift forward. They obviously are still too small to crawl, and the isolette beds are sitting on level ground. They are not fat enough to roll, and no one is pushing them. But somehow, they'll get out of their bedding in a forward direction almost 1/2 a foot. My best guess is that they are like little inchworms, which can go a long way in tiny increments. This is also an apt metaphor for how well they are doing. We have been blessed with strong babies who are making remarkable progress.
