This photo shows our Baby B on Friday in his enclosure. Upon arriving at the hospital this morning, we received the great news that he had been off his nasal cannula since about 6:00 AM, and had continued to tolerate his feedings very well. It was gratifying throughout the day today to notice that he had far fewer episodes of desaturation. Little Boy also nursed again today! :o) This is a great sign that he's overcoming his stress.
Jade was able to hold both Joel and Ella for a little while this afternoon. Both were tightly wrapped up to ensure that their temperatures remained regulated.
This photo shows Ella and Joel snuggling together... the peace of this moment was suddenly broken by a serious "digestive event" precipitated by Ella. In the aftermath, Ginger and the nurse both confessed that they had rarely seen a diaper SO FULL!
Ella is getting very tired of having her picture taken. I think she has not yet learned to differentiate between Mommy and the paparazzi.
Here is a close-up of our Baby A. Anyone who has seen baby pictures of Ginger will note the remarkable similarity between Ella and her mother. She is our second 4 lbs baby :o)
Oh Grace. She seems so innocent. Today was the day of "digestive events" for our babies. As Jade was changing Gracie's diaper today, he noted with satisfaction that the diaper was merely wet. As he was cleaning his little girl, she somehow managed to
projectile p*** almost
SIX FEET! Two blankets, the floor, and the isolette curtain were casualties. It was very embarrassing for Jade and Ginger to listen to the nurse call maintenance and ask if they were able to change a NICU curtain. Maintenance had apparently never heard such a request before, which allowed us to infer that this was a unique event within the NICU... that's our little girl :o)
Ginger very quickly forgave little Grace and held her in the later afternoon. Grace is quite photogenic!
Jade took this photo of this tender moment shared by Ginger and Grace. Grace was just shy of 4 lbs (3 lbs 15.8 oz) today, and should pass that barrier overnight.
Here is our little Baby B holding hands with his Daddy. Joel is now 4 lbs 5 oz and should be able to transition into a crib again sometime later this weekend. Hopefully our careful measures will allow him to better handle the change this time!

kinda funny to hear about grace and her projectile bm! reminds me of issac - except he did it when he was still in the isolette. the first two times it happend they just cleaned the isolette but the thrid time they just had to get a whiole new one. ooopps! glad to see they are all growing so nicely!
Wow, Congratulations on the birth of your babies! They all look so tiny, but really good too. They are adorable! Happy Father's Day, Jade!
